	The United Church of Christ was established in 1957 with the union of the Congregational Christian and the Evangelical and Reformed denominations. Tracing its roots back to the Pilgrims, the United Church of Christ vests church authority in the local congregation. We believe that each believer in Christ has a right and a responsibility to freely study and live the Scriptures in their daily living. The U.C.C. celebrates the sacraments of baptism and holy communion.
